Special to GOAZCATS.com
What up people, this is Chris Poellnitz from All-Ohio Red speaking ta y’all. I just got off break from playing two tournaments. So, now it's back to the gym for training. We almost beat The Family (Mich.), the defending AAU National Champs, at Spiece, but we were dog tired from all those games.

This year was my first year going to the Spiece Tournament, and overall it was the best tourney I have played in.
Me and Gee-Gee (Regina Harris, Chris's Mom) just got done going threw my mail, and we did some adjusting to our top 5 school list. Up at #1 is Arizona, #2 is UConn, #3 is Iowa, #4 is Ohio State, and #5 is Cincy.
I'm mainly trying to finish out the school year strong, and have the best summer I can have. Right now I am a top 25 SIXER (Class of 2006), but by the end of the summer I want to be a top 10 SIXER. So, as you can see I got some work to do. I just have to perform at my best every game, and I'll be all right.
As for next season, my sophomore year will be a really important year for me. My team, St. John’s Jesuit HS, will more than likely be the best team in the state next year with me being the #1 sophomore to-be, Ben Raymond being the #1 junior to-be, Brian Roberts being the #1 senior to-be, Zach Hillesland being a top 10 junior to-be, and Mike Floyd being a top 15 sophomore-to-be. So, you can see that we are young but advanced.
With all of this sudden attention that I'm starting to get, my mom worries about me more and more every day. Who I hang with, who I talk to, where I'm going, etc. She says without her and my baby sister (Londen Poellnitz) taking care of me I wouldn't be able to handle all off this pressure at such a young age. I don't really see it as pressure though. I just look at it as stages of growing up, you feel me? This is the life God chose for me, and I look at it as one big test.
Well people, it's past my bed time. So I'm gonna ride out for now. So, until next time, 1 LOVE.

Editor's Note: Chris Poellnitz is a 6-3, 192 combo-guard from Toledo, Ohio. He is the second cousin of another Player Diary writer for GOAZCATS.com, Andre Borrows. Poellnitz is ranked as the No. 1 sophomore-to-be in the state of Ohio and that's saying something since that state has produced the likes of LeBron James, etc. Poellnitz has serious high-major potential and is ranked 24th-nationally at this time. Expect that to rise this summer. -Ben Hansen.
