On a random weekday once again Arizona picked up its latest big commitment in the 2017 class Tuesday afternoon when four-star athlete prospect Nathan Tilford gave the Wildcats his pledge and added his name to the program's growing commitment list. The Ontario (Calif.) Colony prospect visited Arizona earlier in the year and his connection with the staff, including football analyst Miguel Reveles, helped push things along and earn his pledge Tuesday.
Tilford picked Arizona on the heels of a big week for the Wildcats as he became the forth 2017 recruit to commit to the program in the last week.
A versatile recruit Tilford will head to Tucson as a running back joining Calvin Magee's group at a position the Wildcats were making a priority in the current cycle. UA wants to have a plan for the future at the position and Tilford now becomes that option with his 6-foot-2, 200-pound frame.
Now that Arizona has a commitment from Tilford he joins fellow Rivals100 athlete Greg Johnson as the program's two highest-rated recruits in the class. Both prospects held offers from the local Los Angeles schools but opted to make the move to the desert.
UA now has six commitments overall in the 2017 class putting the Wildcats at No. 20 overall in the current Rivals.com team rankings and second in the Pac-12 behind only Stanford at the current time.
