Arizona's top prospect in the 2007 class, 6-foot-3 combo guard Jerryd Bayless, announced today that he'll be holding a press conference on Friday, November 11th, in which he will release his college decision.

The press conference will be held at 12:30PM MST at St. Mary's High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Bayless is expected to choose between Arizona and Texas.

Bayless is ranked by Rivals.com as the 11th best player in the 2007 class and is one of the best pure athletes in the country. Some feel that Bayless is better than former UA and NBA star Mike Bibby at the same age.

"I would like to get it over with," Bayless told Rivals.com. "I know where I want to go, and that way I can concentrate on winning a state championship."

Needless to say, the announcement of a press conference is huge for Bayless, a player that Arizona has been recruiting heavily before he was even a freshman in high school.

UA head coach Lute Olson has spent countless hours on Bayless' recruitment and has been seen at several AAU camps shadowing the Phoenix St. Mary's High School star wherever he's gone.

There isn't much that Bayless can't do on the court. He's an incredible athlete, has a picture perfect jump shot, a terrific passer and is a flat out winner. The impact that Bayless would have on the UA program would be felt immediately.

With the announcement of his press conference, this is officially "Jerryd Bayless Week" at GOAZCATS.com. Expect to hear plenty about Bayless during the days leading up to his press conference.
