Trevor Laue enjoys UA camps

Barrington (Ill.) offensive lineman Trevor Laue was one of the players in town for the big man and elite camps this past weekend. The 6-foot-5, 275-pound tackle is trying to earn his first offer and seems to be high on the UA.
"It feels great to come out here," Laue said. "The weather is great and that always helps. I love the school. It is popular in Illinois, I know some kids down here and have family down here."

One of the biggest reasons that Laue came to and enjoyed the camp was because of the opportunity to work with Arizona's coaching staff.
"It is great and helps me with the evaluation process," he said of working with the UA coaches. "It makes it easier to make a decision because part of the choice is choosing the coach and being able to work with the coaches was the best part about it."
In order for Laue to earn in offer, he will likely have to do it during his senior season. However, he already has a request that may make earning that offer a little bit easier.
"I have been in contact with the coaches since my early junior year and they tell me to work hard," he said. "They told my coach they would like to see me play on the interior and I play tackle but I will move over for sure."
The only hesitance with the move depends on where his high school team needs him, but Laue says he understands what he has to do to receive an offer.
"I am just going to work hard and see what happens," he said. "What my team wants is the most important thing right now but once I get to college I am willing to do what I need to in order to get on the field."
Laue says he will be looking at a multitude of factors as he attempts to make his college choice.
"I am going to be looking at academics, playing time and just whether or not I feel comfortable with the coaches and team," he said.
As far as a decision goes, Laue says that his original plans have changed slightly due to the course his recruitment has taken.
"I said earlier that I wanted to decide before my senior season," he said. "It looks like I probably will not be able to do that now, so at this point I will wait until as long as it takes to make the right decision."
