What’s up Wildcat fans? I am sure you would rather hear from one of the superstars but “Big Ben” thought you would like to hear what’s on my mind.

First of all I’m really excited to be apart of the Wildcat family. I have been in Tucson for about a week and things have been going really great. I have had the chance to meet all of the players and at this point I know some better than others but I have gotten along really well with all of them.
Things have been going so well here that I have decided that I can’t wait until August to stay down here for good so I am staying for the summer. It will also be good to get a few classes out of the way since I took this semester off from school to focus on getting my knee better.
Surprisingly, I already know a lot of people at the UofA. For example, Friday night I randomly saw my cousin, an ex-girlfriend and an old neighbor I haven’t seen in about six or seven years (who by the way turned from a tomboy into hot sorority girl), all at the same party. Also, I have run into a number of people that I know from all the different places I have lived. I was out with Chris Rodgers and he couldn’t believe how many people I knew. It really is crazy what a small world it is.
Speaking of a small world, next season we obviously play Stanford and my best friend is Danny Grunfeld. Kevin Kruger at ASU was my high school teammate and we are playing at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee against Marquette. My dad is Director of Scouting for the Milwaukee Bucks and they play at the Bradley Center so that is a big homecoming game for me. That’s only to mention a few I could keep going on, it’s crazy!
Before I finish thought I would throw in a few random notes. I am the biggest Red Sox fan and they are a ½ game in front of the Yankees. I think this year is the year! Also, did you see my boy Sam Cassell drop 40 tonight?
Okay I’m going to keep this diary short but I think Ben wants me to do some more of these in the future so let me know if there is any questions you have for me. You can e-mail me at MBabcock11@yahoo.com or my screen name is MateoB4511. Feel free to write me a message I’m always interested in talking sports. Talk to you guys later. GO CATS!
