Pitts makes it official with Arizona

Arizona officially added the first member of its 2013 class Wednesday evening when Concord (Calif.) De La Salle standout Elliott Pitts signed his National Letter of Intent to play basketball for Sean Miller next season.
Pitts originally committed to the Wildcats back in August shortly after visiting Tucson on an unofficial visit. There were many things that went into the three-star recruit's decision, but the opportunity to be part of a high-profile program with the chance of competing for Final Four appearances was a big factor.

"Obviously with the four great freshmen that Arizona got last year, and just adding to it this year, I think we have a strong recruiting class coming up," Pitts told GOAZCATS.com. "One of the reasons I committed to Arizona is because they're a national-championship contender."
Even though Pitts knows he'll be able to continue playing basketball after his upcoming senior year, he doesn't plan to take it easy.
"A lot of people are labeling me as a shooter, and that's great," he said. "But I want to continue getting better and become a knock-down shooter no matter what, so I'm going to always be working on my shooting and trying to improve that."
Pitts is now officially a member of the Wildcats, but there is another 2013 commit out there who will join his future teammate in inking a National Letter of Intent. Five-star wing Rondae Jefferson is expected to send in his official letter Thursday to officially join UA as a 2013 recruit.
