Jody Oehler is host of Tucson's longest running and most listened to local sports radio show, "Happy Hour with Jody Oehler". "Happy Hour" airs Monday through Friday from 4PM – 6 PM and combines a mix of opinions, humor, callers, and sarcasm.
Oehler has been involved in the Tucson sports radio scene for nearly five years and has hosted "Happy Hour" for the past two and a half.
Oehler is also serves as the public address announcer for the University of Arizona baseball and football teams. He has also served as the public address announcer for women's soccer, gymnastics, and the GOAZCATS.com Showdown.
Oehler has also been active in the community. Prior to pursuing his sports radio career full time, Jody was the Director of Partnerships at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson. In addition to working at Big Brothers Big Sisters, he was also a Big Brother for several years. Jody remains active in the Tucson community, participating in a wide array of fundraisers for non-profits and additional volunteer projects.
Jody Oehler is a graduate of the University of Arizona, Class of 2003. He considers himself first and foremost a baseball fan but his cynicism reaches into U of A sports, NFL, NBA, and anywhere a sports debate may be found.
For those who have listened to Happy Hour with Jody Oehler, you know that he's certainly not afraid to have a strong opinion when it comes to U of A athletics. With that in mind, the opinion of Oehler is just his and doesn't necessarily reflect that of GOAZCATS.com.
Oehler's opinion columns will appear on GOAZCATS.com every Wednesday.
