Hobson suffered a neck injury with 12:55 remaining in the Wildcats' 66-10 loss to UCLA at the Rose Bowl. The sophomore was knocked back, continued chasing the play and then suddenly went down around the 40-yard line. Hobson was put on a stretcher and carted off the field.
Head coach Rich Rodriguez said after the game that the Bakersfield, Calif., native was showing positive signs, moving his hands, arms and feet, and would possibly be kept in a local hospital overnight.
Hobson's status for Saturday's game against Colorado is unclear.
