Washington, and especially Willingham, badly needed a win against Stanford but ran into multiple problems in a 35-28 loss. The Huskies gave up 244 rushing yards to the Cardinal and in the process may have lost Jake Locker for an extended amount of time after he broke his thumb throwing a block.
