The Bears had a bye last weekend and last took on Arizona State in a 24-14 home victory that saw the reemergence of Nate Longshore at the starting quarterback position. He passed for 198 yards and three touchdowns in the win and led the team to victory despite missing top rusher Jahvid Best. The Cal defense was sharp against the Sun Devils, who had difficulty moving the ball at all for much of the game, and generated three turnovers in the process.
