Bruno makes his decision

Arizona has been focused on its practices at Fort Huachuca over the last few days, but that doesn't mean that recruiting stops. The Wildcats added their 25th commitment of the 2013 class Saturday afternoon when defensive line prospect Luca Bruno of Oak Park, Calif., decided to give UA his verbal pledge.
"Well they have always been high up on my list and they've been No. 1 for a couple months," he said. "I just felt they were my top the whole time and due to them running out of scholarships - I took a good look at about 10 or 15 schools - and I feel out of all the schools I looked at they were the top.

"So I feel very comfortable committing to them."
Strength and conditioning staffs have been a big factor throughout Bruno's recruitment and that played a factor in the three-star's decision to choose UA.
"Strength and conditioning was a huge part of it," he said. "A lot of the other schools didn't have as good of training and conditioning [programs] that U of A had, and I felt they really stood out there. And also when I was out there I got to meet all the coaches and I felt more of a family atmosphere there.
"I also looked at the academic side and student side, and I feel like I could fit in with all the students there. I feel like I can get a good education there, and I feel like U of A helps that happen with their football players."
As a future defensive lineman Bruno will be working quite a bit with UA defensive line coach Bill Kirelawich and the rising senior was impressed with his approach to the game when on his visit.
"I've talked about the hard-knock type of football they want to play before," Bruno said. And I feel that after seeing coach K (Kirelawich) at practice earlier this year, that's the kind of football he wants to play."
At this point Bruno said he will likely come in as a defensive end, but he also has the size to play defensive tackle as well.
The 6-foot-4, 282-pound prospect chose UA over offers from SMU, California and Oregon State among others.
