With Arizona getting ready to face Colorado on Saturday, GOAZCATS.com took the time to reach out to CU Sports Report to ask five burning questions about the Buffs and where their program stand ahead of the game.
Our Troy Hutchison talked to CU Sports Report's staff writer Nikki Edwards about the upcoming game to get her thoughts on the program and the importance of this game for Colorado.
What's the overall mood surrounding the program (Colorado) with the 0-4 start?
Nebraska, Arizona State, Georgia Tech all pulled the plug on their head coaches and with this 0-4 start it’s difficult to deny that similar energy isn’t looming over head coach Karl Dorrell and the athletic department’s heads. Especially when fans were chanting, “fire Dorrell,” against UCLA and a pregame tweet appeared on the jumbotron with the hashtag “fire Dorrell.”
Under Dorrell’s leadership, the program has regressed since his first year coaching in 2020 finishing 4-2 which then brought them to the Alamo Bowl. The Buffs are now 4-14 since 2020. Even a complete overhaul of the coaching staff has not provided solutions to the program’s regression.
