Arizona still making push for Jackson-Cartwright

There's no question about Arizona's continuing interest in four-star recruit Parker Jackson-Cartwright, and the junior point guard confirmed that after Monday's game against Palos Verdes Estates (Calif.) Palos Verdes.

"It's starting to pick up right now," he told GOAZCATS.com.
And despite strong showings over the summer in the LeBron James Skills Academy and spring on the AAU circuit with California Supreme, Jackson-Cartwright said that there are no new teams in the mix.
"It's pretty much Arizona, UCLA ... the same schools," he said.
The Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola point guard did take an unofficial visit to UA in October as a spectator for the Red-Blue scrimmage. He was one of 14,365 in attendance, and he said that it was good to get a taste of what the Wildcats' fan base was like.
"It was fun, I really got to see what the atmosphere was like," he said. "I like the way they play, and I love the coach. There's a lot of energy in that building."
Jackson-Cartwright was one of many recruits who made the trip to Tucson for UA's season kick-off event, and he said that he got a chance to talk with a few other prospects currently being recruited by UA - especially San Jose (Calif.) Archbishop Mitty senior Aaron Gordon and recent Wildcat signee Rondae Jefferson from Chester, Pa.
"I'm very close to Aaron Gordon and Rondae Jefferson," he said. "We talked for a long time about the school, and we had a good time."
When asked if the 'Cats are the school pushing the hardest, the nation's 34th-ranked prospect in the class of 2014 minced no words when saying, "Yeah."
Jackson-Cartwright played limited minutes in Loyola's win Monday night, but the point guard prospect will be back in action this afternoon when the Cubs face Los Angeles (Calif.) Pacific Hills in the Torrance High South Bay Classic in Torrance, Calif. Tip is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. PST and GOAZCATS.com will be in attendance for the contest.
