Dating back to last season, when then-transfer quarterback Jayden de Laura first stepped foot in Tucson, the environment was far different than his previous year playing for Washington State in Pullman. Despite the adversity, de Laura has managed to find a way to not only adapt to these new conditions but take advantage of the opportunities and take his talent to new heights.
In just the first week of this season’s spring ball, de Laura looked light-years different with both a noticeable enhancement in his mental and physical fortitude. After a year in Jedd Fisch’s system and last year being the team’s captain in just his first season, the Wildcats signal-caller has found his way to become a more complete quarterback and leader.
