Coming back for his third season at the UA, redshirt sophomore safety Dalton Johnson has seen a lot of things change since living in Tucson, yet stayed the course, eventually earning himself a starting position, and thriving in it.
Johnson said he transferring was something he initially considered, but was “more so determined to the mentality of put my head down and you know, go to work” at Arizona and “just had to earn it."
Johnson has excelled at boundary safety so far this season, averaging just over five tackles per game, including back-to-back seven-tackle performances in the first two games, as well as logging a quarterback hurry, along with a forced fumble.
