Arizona helps itself after Jackson-Cartwright visit

Four-star point guard Parker Jackson-Cartwright was finally able to visit Arizona over the weekend on an unofficial visit and the 2014 prospect came away impressed with Sean Miller's program.
"I had a really good time just being with the coaches and spending time with the team, and finding out more about their school and program," the Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola standout told GOAZCATS.com Sunday afternoon.

Jackson-Cartwright said he wasn't necessarily looking to see anything in particular on this trip to UA, but he was happy with what the staff talked about and showed him while on his visit.
"It was just a general kind of thing," he said. "But everything they showed me was an eye-opener from the facilities to the style of play video that they showed me to the academic portion of the visit."
He added that the Wildcats certainly helped themselves with this visit.
"They stand out because their coaches are so focused in on their recruits, and they take it seriously," he said. "I can appreciate that and it feels good to be wanted. They do things differently there and they are just passionate about the future.
"So just seeing that and how passionate coach Miller is it's really different, and it's different from other places that I've seen."
With a trip to Tucson now completed Jackson-Cartwright is looking forward to getting back out to UA some more in the future.
"I plan to get out there a lot," he said. "I know I'm going back Oct. 21 for the Red-Blue game, and then I'll probably go again after that. I liked the environment, I liked being there and I liked the coaches so I want to get out there as much as I can."
After being able to take in Tucson and UA, the four-star prospect left the city with a positive feeling about the 'Cats.
"It's different when you're talking on the phone and they're talking about their school and giving you the sell than when it's in person and you're sitting around a table," he said. "This trip definitely was a boost for the way I feel about Arizona, and if I could see myself there."
