Wildcats tabbed No. 2 on preseason Pac-12 media poll

It was not unexpected but it became a reality Friday morning as Arizona was picked to finish second in the Pac-12 this season by the conference media as the 2016 media poll was released ahead of the conference's media day in San Francisco. The Wildcats are behind only Oregon, which received 23 of the 27 first-place votes.

UA received the other four first-place votes to finish with 298 points overall to Oregon's 320.

It is the first time Oregon has been selected as the champion in the 28 years there has been a preseason conference poll.

Arizona had been selected as the preseason favorite each of the last four seasons winning it in two of those seasons.
