Ristic headed to Arizona, joins 2014 class

Back when Arizona head coach Sean Miller announced the first members of his 2014 class back in November he mentioned that the Wildcats were likely not done adding prospects for the class. He wasn't lying.
Saturday, less than a week after his official visit to Tucson, the Wildcats added another important piece to the future with big man recruit Dusan Ristic from Bel Aire (Kan.) Sunrise Christian Academy who announced his decision to commit to Arizona.

The 7-footer is originally from Serbia, and heading into this trip with the Wildcats he made no secret that the 'Cats were the team to beat for his services.
"But once again, Arizona is my first option," he told HuskerOnline.com. "I have some loyalty for them and coach (Sean) Miller."
Ristic used an official visit on a trip to Tucson last weekend when the 'Cats knocked off Stanford to win the regular season Pac-12 Conference title.
Earning a commitment from Ristic is an important piece to the puzzle as UA continues to try and bolster its front court as current sophomore Kaleb Tarczewski has elevated his game late this season.
The Wildcats also remain very much in play with numerous big men in the 2015 class as well.
The newest Wildcat had plenty of success overseas, but continuing to improve his overall skill set was something that drew him to the United States and now Arizona.
"I wanted to improve my skills and my body, and the best way to do that was in America," Ristic said. "I like college basketball, and that's the main reason that I'm here."
With his commitment Ristic joins five-star prospect Stanley Johnson and four-star recruits Craig Victor, Parker Jackson-Cartwright, and Kadeem Allen as the Wildcats' current 2014 class.
