There are a number of talented recruits in the field, including a number of Arizona targets as well from different classes.
Here's a look at the notable Wildcats recruits who will be participating in this week's event.
2013
Kameron Rooks: The center prospect recently visited Tucson on an official visit and he plans on making his final choice soon. This week, however, Rooks and his team from San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills will take part in the Holiday Classic with its first game taking place at 2:45 p.m. PST at La Jolla Country Day.
The Grizzlies first opponent will be Bakersfield, Calif. on Wednesday afternoon.
2014
Justise Winslow: One of the Wildcats' big targets for the 2014 class is the five-star prospect from Houston (Texas) St. John's. Winslow visited Tucson in October and he remains vert much interested in head coach Sean Miller's program.
The nation's sixth-ranked prospect and his team from Houston will square off against Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O'Dowd on the first day of action in San Diego. Tip for that contest on Wednesday night at Torrey Pines High School is set for 9:05 p.m. PST.
2015
Ivan Rabb: The 6-foot-9 prospect is coming off a tournament at the Jerry Tarkanian Classic in which he took home all-tournament honors. Rabb played well in Las Vegas and continued to show why he could push for the No. 1-spot overall in his class. The five-star prospect and his squad from Bishop O'Dowd have a tough matchup with Winslow's squad, but it should be quite the nightcap for the event's first day.
Cameron Walker: Another young prospect who is starting to garner quite a bit of attention is the 6-foot-7 prospect from Santa Maria (Calif.) Righetti. Walker doesn't have a ton of offers yet, but he's one to keep an eye on this week and in the future. Righetti will take on Sacramento (Calif.) Capital Christian at Santa Fe Christian High School in the Senator's Division.
Tip for that game on Wednesday is set for 4:20 p.m.
PST.
Kendall Small: The Huntington Beach (Calif.) Ocean View point guard is just another young prospect who is starting to get interest from various programs. At this point it's still very early on in the process for Small as he continues to develop his skill set. Ocean View will participate in the American Division this week that will take place at La Jolla Country Day.
The Seahawks first game will take place at 7:30 p.m. PST on Wednesday against El Paso (Texas) Austin.
2016
Derryck Thornton and Devearl Ramsey: The pair of 2016 prospects from Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon have already turned head in their short high school careers. The duo will take bring their skills to San Diego this week when Sierra Canyon plays in the Holiday Classic as part of the Mayor's Division at Carlsbad High School.
Sierra Canyon's first game is set for 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday against Carlsbad, Calif.
