Cain makes the call for Arizona

[rl]
Arizona jumped in the recruitment of Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak prospect Bryson Cain early, and eventually it paid off for the Wildcats. Monday the three-star offensive lineman pulled the trigger on a commitment to the 'Cats after taking some time to think about things after his trip to Tucson last month.

It was not a big surprise as the Wildcats have built a nice bond already in the process and it started with offensive line coach Jim Michalczik.
"Coach M (Michalczik) is pretty much the main factor," Cain told GOAZCATS.com about Arizona. "He's going to be like my dad away from home since he's the offensive line coach."
As Arizona has gone through a number of recruiting cycles now with Rich Rodriguez's staff the type of offensive lineman the Wildcats are looking for has become reflective of the group itself. Michalczik and Rodriguez want offensive lineman who bring a certain attitude with them on the field but have the intelligence to really learn the system in the film room.
Cain feels he is getting closer to the ideal Arizona offensive lineman as he continues his progression as a football player this offseason.
"The type of offensive lineman he's looking for is the same my high school offensive line coach is looking for," Cain said of Michalczik. "... I'm working on it. My first year of football was my freshman year and I'll be honest I was a little soft, but I feel like I'm getting meaner and meaner every year."
Another aspect of Arizona that sold Cain on Tucson being the place with him is the success the Wildcats have had on the field. Coming off a season in which UA took home the Pac-12 South crown and won 10 games to earn a spot in the Fiesta Bowl, Cain likes the way Arizona is headed as he gets ready to enter college a year from now.
"I looked at that a lot," he said. "I believe that it's very important. My main thing is that I don't care about the past because I'm not a part of that, but what I care about is the future and that's the main thing I worry about. That's when I'm going to be involved with the team.
"... That's why I believe the future is very important."
Cain chose Arizona over offers from Colorado State, Kansas, Nevada, San Diego State and Washington State among others.
