Hill, Jerrett invited to NBA combine

Former Arizona Wildcats Solomon Hill and Grant Jerrett were among the 61 players invited Thursday to the NBA draft scouting combine in Chicago.

The combine, which will take place May 16 and 17, will test the players' vertical jump, agility, speed and strength, among other areas, as teams gather data for the June draft.

At best, Hill and Jerrett have been projected as mid-second round picks in various mock drafts. While Hill exhausted his college eligibility, Jerrett left Arizona in mid-April under heavy scrutiny after he decided to enter the draft after just one season.

But of the 77 early-entry candidates - 46 from U.S. colleges - Jerrett was one of 35 invited to the combine.

Of the 61 players invited last year, 11 were undrafted.

The combine will be televised on ESPN2 and ESPNU.
