Video highlights: Brundidge, Williams at Peach Jam
Carlton Brundidge, a Wolverine commitment, and Amir Williams are both among the top players in the Class of 2010 and team up on their AAU team, The Family, which is based out of Detroit, Mich. Williams has become a hot commodity for the Wolverines and the duo showed why they are so highly-regarded at the Peach Jam in North Augusta, S.C.
In the team’s July 14 contest against Each 1 Teach 1, The Family was led by Brundidge’s team-high 20 points while Williams pulled down 17 rebounds and added nine points. The tandem led The Family to an exciting 73-71 win at the buzzer.
Brundidge, who also chipped in seven boards, three assists and a steal; committed to the Wolverines on Sept. 21, 2009. The shooting guard from Southfield (Mich.) High School stands 6-0 and weighs 200 pounds while ranking as Rivals’ No. 102 player in the class of 2011 and No. 28 shooting guard.
Williams, meanwhile, would be an excellent addition to the Maize and Blue alongside his AAU teammate. The center from Beverly Hills, Mich. attends Detroit Country Day High School and ranks as the No. 3 big man in the Class of 2011. Rivals also lists the 6-9, 220 pound standout as the No. 43 overall player in his class. Against Each 1 Teach 1, Williams also contributed an assist and four blocks. He has a lengthy offer list that includes Arizona, Duke, Florida, Kentucky, Michigan State, Purdue, Texas and USC; in addition to the Wolverines.
