Start of the Daily Doubles

Daily doubles. No, this isn't a double shot of espresso (although Keaton Kristick probably had one of those) but another way to get the Oregon State football team ready for the season.

Today was the first of the two-fers. The team worked out in full gear this morning and will follow up this evening in shells. Their nightcap will include more meetings and study time.

To preface, this was my first practice of the fall. The publisher of this site wanted to send down some fresh eyes. It was either me or our 4 year old….and I won the draw. Not sure if you readers got the better end of the stick.

Around the Horn

I saw a lot of good stuff today. Starting with the most obvious, Sean Canfield had a fine day of spinning the pigskin. I didn't write it down, but he had to be upwards of 80% in the 7 on 7 and 11 on 11 drills. True, he can't be touched by the D, but he looked good.

Lyle Moevao was done early, so I didn't get to see much of him. Even if he is not ready by the first game, the concern shouldn't be too high, and both Ryan Katz and Peter Lalich had nice days as well.
