The Washington State University men's hoop team returned home from a winless week on the road and took out their frustration on Grambling State, easily defeating the Tigers, 69-37 at Beasley Coliseum in Pullman. With the win, Wazzu improves to 3-4 overall on the year.
Grambling State scored the first bucket but it was all Wazzu after that as the Cougars scorched the twine and leapt out to 30-14 first half lead over the winless Tigers en route to a 34-17 advantage going into the locker room at halftime.
It was more of the same medicine for Grambling in the second half as Wazzu gradually increased their lead as the half progressed and coasted in for the easy victory.
Three Cougars were in double figures in scoring, led by Faisal Aden with 12 points and followed by Brock Motum with 11 and DaVonte Lacy with 10. Motum also led the Cougars with 10 rebounds
- Wazzu broke a three-game losing streak with the victory.
