University of Arizona men's basketball coach Sean Miller today announced that three players have been added to the roster.

Dondre Wise, Ross Davidson and Max Wiepking bring the number of active players for the 2009-10 season to 15. Wise will occupy the team's 13th scholarship, while Davidson and Wiepking are walk-ons.

Wise, a 6-foot-1 sophomore guard from Houston, Texas, joins the program after playing the 2007-08 season at Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz. He averaged 10.7 points, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game in 30 appearances (17 starts). Wise shot 49.3 percent from the field (112-of-227) and led the Aztecs in scoring five times that season, including a career-high 29 points.

Prior to attending Pima Community College, Wise was a three-year letterwinner at Kingwood High School, earning all-district honors as a senior. In his three years with the Kingwood varsity, Wise was part of a program that won a state title (2005) and finished as the runner-up twice (2006, 2007).

Wise will be reunited with his brother, Nic, who is the lone senior on the 2009-10 Wildcat roster. Dondre and Nic played together for two seasons at Kingwood High School (2005, 2006), posting a 73-10 (.880) record.

Davidson, a 6-foot-7 freshman forward from San Juan Capistrano, Calif., earned a total of five varsity letters at Junipero Serra Catholic High School (2 basketball, 2 football, 1 track & field). He was team captain as a senior for coach Grant Myers, helping JSerra to a quarterfinal berth in the CIF state tournament. Davidson won the Coaches Award and was named Most Improved. He was an Honor Roll student as a junior and senior.

Wiepking, a 6-foot-6 freshman forward from Englewood, Colo., garnered three letters in basketball for coach Todd Schayes, posting a 39-12 record over his final two seasons. He averaged 19.6 points, 9.4 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game as a senior to earn second-team all-state, first-team all-conference and Metro League Player-of-the-Year honors. Wiepking was an honor roll student.

Arizona opens the 2009-10 season in McKale Center on Sunday, Nov. 15, against Northern Arizona.
